Which makes time go faster- having fun, or avoiding things you need to do?
AVOIDING!
Before you know it, it’s almost at the last day in Q1 of 2019.
Did you meet your New Year’s Goals? EEK!
Maybe you wanted to:
- Close a certain number of clients
- Save X amount of money
- Lose X amount of weight
- Make new friends
- Enter into a great relationship
- Build your team
- Figure out your health issues
- Get a great VA
- Be featured on tv…
- Pay your taxes early!
Whatever it was you were hoping to accomplish this year… how’s it going?
We are 1/4 done with 2019. Most of us have more than one things that we want to accomplish this year, but one thing is for sure: If you’ve avoided it till now, then it hasn’t happened.
When it comes to organizing your house, unpacking those boxes, dusting in those areas where the sun don’t shine, 😉 and filing those stacks of papers, I always hear, “I just need to do it.”
And then, 1 or 5 or 10 years later, after listening to complaints about the same old things, I am not surprised that they are often followed with…
“I just need to carve out the time and do it.”
Yup. I totally get it. Like me and my book! I started it in –cough– 2003. Have you bought it on Amazon yet? No! “Because I just need to carve out the time to do it.” 🙂
If we don’t do it, it doesn’t happen. Duh. But it can really stink to do it on your own. Especially when you get overwhelmed, and suddenly need a nap.
In Joumor, we accept how miserable and ashamed we might feel about the state of things. “Mess,” we say, “bring it on!” Because Joumor, joy + humor, is what lies beyond all the misery of everything you’ve been avoiding. So believe it or not, we have fun about how GOOD it is to finally stop avoiding and start taking action.
