I’m writing to you from the high of my Productivity Power Mastermind Study Hall. It was so powerful! This week, perhaps due to weather, people felt really cluttery. Tasks and projects were heavy, felt hard and there was a lot of avoiding going on. But by the end of class people were smiling and amazed at their accomplishments.

Every Joumor class begins with a 7 minute Treasure Hunt, as we discussed last week. There are many reasons for this- clear and prepare your environment before working, find things that were missing or out of place, all that is true. But the best part?

When you go back to basics like

• Clearing your desk
• Doing the dishes
• Making the bed
• Cleaning the floor
• Dusting your computer
• Reading a book
• Writing goals in a notebook

These things help us reset, ground and focus. In Joumor, we always want to Do the Easiest Thing First because it helps us remember who we are and feel powerful to continue becoming who we want to be.

Do you have a New Year’s Resolution about what you want to create or become this year?

Clear your desk really well. Or do the dishes and then clean the drainboard, all the while thinking about your desire.

Guess what. In about 7 minutes, your environment will be a lot easier to work in, and you’ll have a better sense of what needs to be done.
